Body is tired but wanting to pen sonething before the year 2020 ended.

This year of the rat by Chinese zodiac has seen such a devastation to the world. Millions of people have died due to Covid 19. More have suffered physically, mentally, emotionally n financially...

How has this pandemic affected me personally...

Saturday 25 January 2020- Chinese New Year. I was back in Kelantan with my family for the occasion like we always do yearly without fail. We went about doing what we have been doing every year...We had our reunion dinner on the eve. Then giving out angpow. On the 1st day after breakfast, we went visiting our elders  who are still around in the village. Everything was the same except for a new topic of conversation- Corona Virus......Wuhan n the lockdown in China were the hot topic. Since China is so far away, we only have sympathy for the Chinese and did not worry much.

Now, Wednesday 30.12.2020, we more or less have decided that, we can not go back for the Chinese New Year 2021 which falls on Friday 12 .02.2021. It is so sad that it has to happen. Not going to be with Pa and Ma on the most auspicious day for them is so unthinkable. My siblings and I always believe in being home for the CNY as long as our parents are still alive. So that is the first blow Covid 19 rendered on me....😭😢😤
