I have not been blogging for quite a while. Ever since I become member of the facebook community, whatever little time I have, I went facebooking!! So when I finally checked out some blogs recently, I was in for a shock and sadness. One of fellow bloggers has passed on. He lost his battle to cancer.Alfatihah. May Allah put him among the chosen ones. Amin. Salam Ta'ziah to his family.
I have been following Dr.Mas Afzal writings for quite some time. Though young, he was of great wisdom and was ever willing to share his knowledge.He had great passion for life and was full of compassion and empathy towards fellow cancer sufferers. He was unable to practise medicine due to his illness. But I am sure he would have been a great doctor. It showed in the passion that generated through his postings. Alas...his passing is a great loss not only to his family but to the medical world. Rest in peace "Baby Afzal".
Hubby, our daughter and I spent The Chinese New Year with my parents, my siblings and their families in Wakaf Bahru. My son and his family didn't join us. They recently moved house so they are still amidst settling down ( All three of them were down with flu through the CNY holidays!!).
It was a smaller gathering this year. My sisters in US and New zealand didn't come back and my brother from Seremban did'nt join us.Anyway, my parents put in the same affort in preparation. The reunion dinner on the eve was still the same. We gave out the same amount of ang pows and we visited our elders on the 1st day as usual. And the same feeling of sadness I felt when I hugged pa and ma goodbye. InsyaAllah we will usher in the next CNY together again. Ameen.
Johor was hard hit by flood. Thousands of people were displaced for half a month. Segamat became an island and we had to reroute through KL to go back for CNY. The rain made my preparation for the trip so tough. In the rain I had to get ready enough food and water supply for 37 chicks and 11 chicken. Hubby helped out with the 6 geese. The 3 cats, Rex, Addy and Boboy had to be attended to.Looking back, what is there for me to complain ? Compare us to the flood victims!!!! Forgive me ya Allah, nikmat yg mana yg telah aku dustakan ?Life goes on.....
