0818 Wednesday January 2020
Good morning 2020,
Good morning world,
Good morning everybody❤π»πΆ
Not exactly feeling that good due to lack of sleep I guess...
After solat, did a little limbering up. Feel much better.π
Syukur Alhamdulillah
Still blessed to breath the air in the year 2020, another decade...
No big deal, said some.
Saw some remarks on fb. One said, his new year starts with 1 Muharam, another said his starts on 25 January 2020
Whateverlah...
Being a Malaysian, I celebrate all......
Looking forward to have lunch with my beloved family at an Arab restaurant in SP today.... A beearly treat to celebrate my first born's birthday. Beearly because tomorrow, 02.01.2020 is the 1st day of school year 2020 for my grandson, his son, Haj.π
Syukur Alhamdulillah, really happy to see that my son is looking leaner. He has been doing a lot of brisk walking.... But I am not being heΔΊpful.
Last night, just handed him a giant goody bag from the kampung-a pkt of durian, sambal goreng, roti jala, bergedil n instant cereal with brown rice packet drink.πππ
Hope he has the will to freeze some of them n space out the consumption...
May Allah SWT bless you always dear son. Love you.❤
A doa without fail for the wellfare of my loved ones. My immediate family, Pa, Ma, my 8 siblings and their families.
Come 25 January, we will be having our annual reunion dinner. All except 2 siblings n famiies who stay oversea, will be exchanging hugs, gifts and good wishes this time.
Pa and Ma who are over 90 yrs old would be grinning from ear to ear...
Looking forward to that...
May Allah SWT bless our big day n keep all of us safe. Ameen.
0916... Time for breakfast.

Countdown to Year 2020
2127 Tuesday 31 December 2019
Like last year, year before last, year before that.... We travelled up to be with our dear ones..... daughter, Son, daughter-in-laws n grandson.....if son n his family did not go back to the Phillipine.
We preferred to travel rather than ask them to travel.....
Why ?
When they travel, the anxiety is unbearable. π£π©π©
We started journey around noon. Stopped to refuel before hitting the highway. Traffic was normal... He tend to speed. Reminded him a few times.
As usual, had lunch at R&R n visited the loo at another.
Called daughter like normal practice....
So, everything seemed normal. Nothing unusual.
Then, 1/3 way to go, he srarted talking about international affairs. Giving his opinion on this and that. All praise for the neighbour across the strait... The government went right down to business of running the country immediately after winning the election. Not like ours....He kept praising one particular minister, his favourite...
" I think you are more citizen of that country than a Malaysian!!!" I repeated...
We started arguing.....
One thing led to another... Now it is confirmed that he is one of those who believed that our country present predicament is all due to the mismanagenent of former government.....
When I tried to argue, I was accused of being influenced by cybertroupers...π€€
So it was silent all the way till I rested and solat.
Is it worth it who is right and who is wrong ?
After 46 years of togetherness...
Are we going into 2020 being sore at each other over something that is out of our control?
Definitely not...
2343.... Happy new year dear and everybody

The Awakening in December 2019
Monday 09 December 2019
Where have I been the whole of 2018 n the 11 months of 2019 ?π€π€π€
I have been around the usual places, I have been doing the same things n maìntained almost the same routine day in and day out...
But.....Why did I forget to visit Sikonian ?π€ππ
Preoccupation could be the word.... Preoccupied with what ?
It must be my garden. A garden with thousand plants. Once commented Mr. Chuah, the plummer,to his wife cum assistant while fixing my garden pipes.
I have to admit, it usually takes an hour or more for me to thoroughly water the whole garden. That goes for fertelizing n weeding...
Destressing by spending time appreciating the beauty of the different blooms... hibiscus, jasmines, adeniums, orchids, plumeria, roses, chempaka telur, jejarum, lavenda, bougainvele .....MasyAllah, Allah beautiful creations. The look, the scent never fail to brighten up my day...❤
The TV dramas take up a chunk of my time. This passion has been with me since my childhood days. Shamelessly, as a small girl, I would be sitting by the neighbour's door to watch the show on their new TV...π
Face booking is another time consuming hobi. What with the present political situation... The never ending issues that arised from the wanting national political, economic n social condition are so intense n heart breaking. So much so that, hours could pass by without me realizing it...
I am preoccupied 24/7... Yet I am always asked, " Don't you find retirement boring ?" ππ€£π€£
Aside from the above excuses that I could think of to justify why I did not post any entry in Sikonian in 2018 n 11 months of 2019, I can't help thinking whether it has anything to do with age factor...π€π€π£
Ya Allah please bless me with good memory for many more years to come. Ameen.

OMG 2017
11.27pm Sunday 31 December 2017
How surprised I am to enter my own blog for the 1st time in 2017 !!!
Too preoccupied with personal problems lately that I kept procrastinating updating my blog time n time again until a few minutes ago...
Panic strickened because I have forgotten how to write a new post. π±π±π±
Daughter said, " Ma, you have to sign in first"... Again, frantically searching for the password...
Syukur Alhamdullah, back in business...π€π€π€
So, where do I begin ? Maybe the good, the bad and the ugly should be the guideline.
The Good :
Syukur Alhamdulillah. I am still allowed to breath on this earth. I still have my beloved family to cherish through thick n thin...πππ.
In this golden age, I am able to do as I please within my own space. Spending time with my beautiful hibiscus, orchids, geese, cats n fishes.
The Bad :
Suddenly, in the 2nd half of 2017, I am faced with the reality that both my parents have become senile.... Unable to be left on their own... They need supervision 24/7. The schdule that I helped to set up where the 9 siblings take turn to take care of their wellfare seems inadequate...
The Ugly:
The one thing that I considered the most ugly of 2017 is the politiccal situation in My beloved Malaysia

Goodbye 2016 Part 2
Chaichien 2016 Part 2
Hmm...
Did not get to finish Part 2 in 2016.π
Anyway, let me continue with...
The TV
TV came into my life when I was preaty young. My family could not afford a set. So I could be found leaning on the door of our neighbour's or squating by it... Come to think of it, shameless act of a little girl...πππ.
I love dramas, movies, documentaries, news... Watchng from black and white to HD throughout my life and will go on till my last breath , I guess...
So what did I get from TV in 2016 ?
Emotional therapy from all the Malay dramas for one. Excitement, investigative n forensic knowledge from CSI, Law and Order, Da Vinci Code to name a few. Updates on local n international news. Travelling to distant lands by watching documentaries... This is the only mean to statisfy my travelling bug ever since both my knees succumbed to injuries sustained from sport years back n from gardening accident with ladder recently...πͺπͺπͺ.
Btw. I don't watch ghost stories...they give me nightmares π
So ' The Idiot Box' some called it, occupies a big space in my life... And I love it.... with no regret.πππ
I always wonder, why people kept asking me am I not bored after becoming YB- Yang Bersara ?
For me. 24 hours is never enough... That is the reason why I sleep little though fully aware of the
health hazard it brings. Especially for a cancer survival like me. π
Anyway, back from a little digression...
What else does 2016 offer me ?
1. Experience in riding LRT and MRT.
An LRT station is situated a stone throw away from my USJ house.
So whenever we go to USJ, hubby and I would take the train with our senior citizen cards and went places... Sometimes, my daughter would join us.
Only last week, hubby and I took the train up to Putra Height Interchange Station. Hopped on the Ampang Line and went to check out TBS, the big bus terminal in Bandar Tasek Selatan. I was there
before but this time it's different. Without traffic hussle and in the comfort of the train, I made it there with the knowledge that my next trip by bus from the kampung house to the USJ house would be
easy without hussle, Inn Sya Allah...πππ
Experience with the newly operational MRT was another story....
We took the LRT to the KL Central. After asking for direction from the info counter, we waited for RapidKL bus at the stop outside. The hussle began.
The bus arrived after 15 minutes and the crowd had gathered.
The bus driver opened only the front door for the full capacity passenger to get down. After that free for all. Then he realized n opened the 2nd door. The bus was overloaded...π£
Instead of Semantan Station, the driver took us further to Pusat Bandar Damansara without making any announcement.π‘
The MRT long train was full. Guessed it's filled with curios people like us. Moreover, the ride is free
till end of Jan 2017..☺️. There was an elderly Chinese man with a cloth bag on his shoulder kept asking us where is the next big towm along the route. He had seen KL n wanted to visit another big town. Could not understand much of his bahasa, we told him maybe he would like to see Damansara
Utama...
We got down at Mutiara Damansara Station. Had kopi o peng at Cineleusure Damansara b4 proceeding to The Curve n kater IKEA n Ikano. By then it was raining dogs n cats.
To go to the MRT station is not feasible. So my daughter googled for alternative.
We waiten for 1 1/2 hour to board a shuttle bus to take us from Ikano to Kelana Jaya LRT Station.
From there onward life was easy. We got home dead tired...π Syukur Alhamdulillah.
Maybe, when the MRT route is connected to the KL Central with some covered walkway built at strategic places, then the MRT ride would be fine. Inn Sya Allah.
Great exoerience there. Thankyou to the government for the infrastructure.
2. The Ugly side of Malaysians on the home front.
- don't seem to be able to count one's blessing
- believe hook n sinker in everything posted on the net n shared without thinking
- slandering is normal n fine by them
-never give a thought to the welfare of the nation when bad-mouthing her
- etc.
So sad...πͺπͺπͺ
Well Sayonara 2016 and hello 2017. May God bless us all with health, happiness, longevity, wealth n prosperity and bless Malaysia with peace, stability, prosperity and sovereingnity...... Ameen.

Goodbye 2016 Part 1
Chaicien 2016.... Part 1
OMG !!!
I have not penned anything for the whole of 2016 until now. π¬ππ‘
What excuse can I offer to appease my superego but the fault of my garden, Face Book, WhatSapp, Twitter or The TV...πππ.
My garden..
On a hot day, it took me more than an hour to water all the plants... Then a few more hours to attend to the weeding, fertilizing, catching the yellow bugs and to admire the blooms.
Actually, I usually start attending to the garden after the normal routine of solat, Quran listening on iPad, loosening n stretching exercises and updating journal....
And that would keep me busy till lunch hour.
I have orchids, Adeniums, bougainvilleas, plants with scented blooms like ( kenanga, Jasmines, roses, Tongking, cempaka telur, kesidang, ), herbs like( pecah beling, belalai gajah, Mahkota Dewa, Hempedu Bumi, Ginseng Jawa, ) etc....
Face Book...
Face booking is done usually on my iPad. Now that lucky me have received a Samsung J mobile for my birthday present, face booking is everywhere in the garden when I take a breather from gardening.... Anyway, I must admit that I have slowed down somewhat towards the end of the year.π. Why ? Can't come up with a good reason right now...
WhatSapp
Ever since I learn to use this app. early this year, my life has been real busy and good I guess. My sis has started a group for our siblings, though not all involved, it is great. It brings us closer. With 2 oversea and the rest in different parts of the country, we keep in touch everyday.
Now that our aged parents have started to have problem with their short-term memory, I do my best to call them daily and when needed I will update my siblings on their status. We will try to solve the problem as good as we could.... ☺️
Twitter
Hmm....
This app. sees me taking on a different character. I should say a more political characteristic. π
Some how, I, in my own small and simple way could not stand all those Holier than Thou, shameless, mudah lupa, slandering, never count their blessing, never see any good happening in the country, inhuman, never give credit where credt dues, End justifies Means.... kind of tweets. Based on facts that I gathered from following certain blogs, news over the year, I would not let them go uncommented. I know it is not much but it is better than letting them get away with 'murder'.
My daughter used to tease me that wow, her old mum has got such big fire in her....π Time and again, I would tell her, I love Malaysia and I will never allow anybody, be it local or foreign to do harm to her... And I would reminnd her to always count her blessing with what God has bestowed upon us and our nation. Never forget what we have learnt from our numerous trips to other countries... We are very much blessed.... Syukur Alhamdulillah.
